Candy Heart Bracelets

I love this idea.  I think my girls would have fun making these, even a fun little handout for Young Women or something.  So this is definitely on my to do list. All you need is Dental Floss, Needle, Ribbon and candies, any kind that you could poke a hole through...even wrapped chocolate hearts or something like that. So, fun to experiment and try.  This would be fun for any holiday.

Yummy Peanut Butter Butterscotch cookies

Over the weekend the kids and I made these yummy cookies.  I got the recipe from Picky Palate.  They turned out so good and I love Butterscotch and Peanut Butter.  I can't make them all the time, because my daughter is allergic :(  But, I just couldn't resist, they looked too yummy, and they are!!

Peanut Butter Butterscotch Chippers

1 stick softened butter
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 Cups smooth peanut butter
1 Cup melted butterscotch chips
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 Cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 Cup butterscotch chips
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.  Melt butterscotch chips over a double boiler until melted.  Add melted butterscotch chips and peanut butter to beaten butter and sugars.  Beat in egg and vanilla.
2.  Place flour, baking soda and salt in bowl; mix to combine.  Add to wet ingredients until just combined then pour in butterscotch chips.  Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough, roll in sugar then place onto baking sheet.  Press tops with tines of a fork if desired.  I did it both ways and both are great.  Bake for 9-11 minutes or until cookies are cooked through.  Remove and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Cookie Balls

The kids and I had a Blast making these Yummy Cookie Balls from Bakerella. {Love Her!} We made both the Oreo and the Nutter Butter Balls.  The kids loved making them into balls and melting the chocolate, there was a lot of  things they could do to keep them busy and helping with the whole process. They tasted Delicious!  I Love Peanut Butter but I actually really loved the Oreo cookie Balls just a little more! These keep great in the freezer and a nice little reward once in a while :) and a great treat to bring to a party! They are super easy.
Have fun and let me know if you try them.

Use 1 package of Oreo Cookies, smash them up real good {we just broke them up and put them in a bag and I let the kids go at it with a rolling pin or a cup} Once broken up well mix very well with 1 package of softened cream cheese.  Melt some white chocolate Bark {I used the microwave, very fast}. Make 1 inch balls with your cookie mixture and dip them into the chocolate.  Drop onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Put them in the fridge for a faster set up. See the full recipe HERE
Use the same process with the Nutter Butter Balls, use 1 package of Nutter Butters and milk chocolate Bark instead. See the original recipe HERE.
